Country Manager Japan
Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto
Cookly is looking for a food enthusiastic Country Manager in Japan who will be responsible for the acquisition of new partners. As our Country Manager you will represent Cookly and be the primary contact for our partners. You will be working remotely in Japan in coordination with our Asian headquarter in Bangkok.
Responsibilities:
- Research new suppliers
- Organize your work schedule to contact and visit potential as well as existing suppliers
- Convince potential suppliers to join Cookly and negotiate the conditions
- Assist the suppliers with their accounts during and after the integration phase
- Communicate with our suppliers and build relationships with them
- Identify and develop marketing partnerships and activities
- Keep the management informed by submitting activity and result reports
Requirements:
- Prior experience in sales, preferably in the food and travel industry
- Excellent communication and organizing skills
- Excellent Japanese language skills
- Very good command of English
- Flexibility to work in an international setting
- Ability to work independently
- You are not afraid to be persistent and are a rather proactive, friendly & outgoing person
- You are persuasive and have good negotiating skills
- Passion for food and cultures
- Prior startup is a plus
- You are ideally based in Tokyo, Osaka or Kyoto
